The authors explore structural and cultural contexts of scientific research, relations between information technologies and our everyday life, as well as relations between innovation and business culture.

Katarzyna Leszczynska teaches sociology and social anthropology at AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Poland. Her scholarly interests focus on religion, gender and social aspects of technology.

Janusz Mucha teaches sociology and social anthropology at the same university. His is interested in sociological and anthropological theory, minority issues,
Central and Eastern Europe and technoligical rationality.
