This book provides a concise presentation of the Greek Church of Cyprus, the Morea and Constantinople during the earlier part of the Frankish Era (1196–1303). It examines the establishment of the Latin Church in Cyprus, Morea and Constantinople and the consequences that followed. Moreover the text analyses the relations between the Greek Church in Cyprus, Morea and Constantinople with the Latin Church. At the same time, it demonstrates the relationship between the Greek Church of Cyprus, Morea and Constantinople and the secular authorities.

Elena Kaffa was born in Nicosia, Cyprus. She is Greek Cypriot Orthodox and graduated from the University of Cyprus, obtaining a BA in History and Archaeology. She then went on to continue her studies at Cardiff University in Wales, under the supervision of Peter W. Edbury, where she obtained an MA in the History of the Crusades and a PhD in Medieval Ecclesiastical History. Elena has also participated in several international conferences with the hope of realising her dream of teaching at a university. She currently teaches at Cypriot high schools and continues with her avid passion of research.
