This book is a collection of critical essays that examines the lives, politics, and ideas of several radical activists, writers, and revolutionaries over the past two centuries —individuals who fought for human freedom. R. G. Williams is a writer and political essayist. He is a graduate of the Australian National University (ANU), the University of Canberra (UC), Australia, and the London School of Economics (LSE), UK. Politically he is a Socialist (Socialist Humanist), and a member of the Labour Party (UK) and the Australian Labor Party (ALP). He works in education, with a particular interest in continuing education.
