Christine E. Poteau received her PhD in Spanish with a primary concentration in Applied Linguistics from Temple University, USA. She is the recipient of various teaching and professional development awards. Her research and pedagogical interests include intercultural competence development across disciplines, service-learning program development in heritage, foreign, and second language courses, linguistic and ethnic minority populations, and disparities in law and medicine. In 2017, she published Pedagogical Innovations in Foreign Language Learning via Interlocutor Familiarity.
