Inês Lopes Cardoso is Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Genetics at the Faculty of Health Sciences of Fernando Pessoa University, Portugal. She holds a PhD in Biotechnology from the Superior School of Biotechnology of the Portuguese Catholic University and is a Member of the Institute of Investigation, Innovation and Development of Fernando Pessoa University. She has published several books, book chapters and journal articles on biochemistry and health sciences.

Fernanda Leal is Associate Professor of Biochemistry at the Faculty of Health Sciences of Fernando Pessoa University, Portugal. She holds a PhD in Chemistry from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, Portugal, and is a Member of the Institute of Investigation, Innovation and Development of Fernando Pessoa University. She has published several books, book chapters and journal articles on biochemistry and health sciences.
