This book is a collection of selected papers which have been delivered at numerous international conferences. They are classified into two main categories: poetry and prose. The first section deals with poetry of the Pre-Romantic, Romantic, modern, and contemporary eras, while the section on prose concerns the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

Faisal Al-Doori is a poet, story writer, critic, journalist, and translator, and has won many literary prizes in Arabic, including those of the Arabic Union for Writers in 2000 and Naji Namaan in 2014. He has published numerous papers on Dickens, Wordsworth, Fielding, Defoe, Hardy, and Yeats. He received his PhD from Aberystwyth University, UK, in 2015, and is currently Assistant Professor at Tikrit University, Iraq.
