This book focuses on nematode-parasitizing crop plants grown in Ghana and the West Africa sub-region. It offers information on nematode types, and their population densities in both soil and root samples on selected crops cultivated in Ghana, with particular focus on nematodes of tree crops, vegetables, fruits, and other crops.

Dr Seloame Tatu Nyaku is a Senior Lecturer and a Nematologist and Molecular Biologist at the Department of Crop Science of the University of Ghana, Legon. His research interests are host-plant interactions and the application of integrated measures for management of nematode and fungal pathogens. His current research focuses on the application of grafting, and utilizing useful rhizosphere microorganisms and nutrient-rich biodegradable matrices for crop protection against nematodes and fungi. He is the author of 20 research articles and five book chapters.

Dr Francis Collison Brentu is a Senior Research Fellow, a Nematologist and Mycologist, and Head of the Forest and Horticultural Crops Research Centre of the University of Ghana. His research covers identification, epidemiology, and management of fungal and nematode diseases of forest crops. His current research focuses on bio-pesticides evaluation, epidemiology of fungal and nematode diseases of forest and vegetable crops. He is the author of 20 research articles and three book chapters.
