Jorge A. Colombo, MD, PhD, is former Principal Investigator Neuroscientist at the Argentine National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET), and the founder and Director Emeritus of the Unit of Applied Neurobiology of the Center for Medical Education and Clinical Research, Argentina. He conducted his postdoctoral studies at the Brain Research Institute and Department of Anatomy at the University of California, Los Angeles, and is a former Associate and tenured Full Professor at the College of Medicine of the University of South Florida. He is a former Fellow of DAAD and the A. von Humboldt Foundation (Germany), the Ford Foundation and NIH (USA), and the British Royal Society, and served as Visiting Professor at a number of European Research Institutes. He is the author of a number of journal articles and books in the field of neurosciences.
