Previously, she was a Research Fellow at Harvard University and a Senior Information Management Officer at the SAMS Foundation. Throughout her career, she has emphasized the importance of applied research, specifically to encourage others to pursue a life of service within the public sector using their advanced training and skills. She has worked for a plethora of nonprofits and international organizations, including the United Nations. Dr Ahmed holds a PhD in Political Science, a Master’s in International Studies, and a Master’s in Public Affairs.
