Usha Dutta
Usha Dutta is a DAAD Fellow and received her PhD from the Institute of Human Genetics and Medical Biology of Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. She is currently working as a Cytogeneticist at the Diagnostics Division of Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics, Hyderabad, India. She has almost 22 years of research experience in the fields of cytogenetics, molecular cytogenetics and molecular genetics, and her central research focus is chromosomal breakpoint mapping, cytogenomics and cancer cytogenetics. She has presented many papers nationally and internationally, and has more than 32 journal articles to her credit. She is currently the General Secretary for the Genetic Society of Hyderabad, India, and her long-term goal is developing new diagnostic technologies for the clinical cytogenetic and cancer genetics laboratory.
