Zhipei Chi is an Assistant Research Fellow in the Institute of Defense Economics and Management at the Central University of Finance and Economics, China. His areas of interest include technology competition between states, China-US relations, East Asian regional politics and economic statecraft. He has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals on these topics, as well as a monograph on the ‘technology cold war’ between China and the US. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Philosophy from the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies of Peking University in 2006 and 2009, respectively. After earning his doctoral degree in Political Science from Arizona State University in 2014, he started in his current position at Central University in 2015.
