This book provides a summary of the author’s long-term research on the properties of metallurgical slags. In the research, innovative methods of determining the properties of slags were used and the physicochemical and technological aspects of the input materials and materials obtained in the production process were taken up. On the basis of the work carried out, digital tools, physicochemical models and additional guidelines, which have not been used anywhere in the world so far, have been developed, which make it possible to determine the suitability of slags. The book contains innovative methods for determining refining capacity. Using the proposed formula, the user can determine the suitability of slag with 93% reliability.
The book will be extremely valuable to people working in the metallurgical industry and students of faculties related to materials engineering. It will also be of interest for metallurgists, foundry workers and people working in research laboratories.

  • "In Modeling of Metallurgical Slag Features, using the available data (including the results of the author’s own research) and innovative, proprietary measurement methods, a successful attempt was made to assess the properties of metallurgical slags, including their special feature – their refining capacity. For this purpose, the author, based on his many years of research and analysis, built digital tools, physicochemical models and additional guidelines that have not been used anywhere in the world so far. All these activities make it possible to determine the suitability of coatings with a given composition for industrial applications.
    - This monograph introduces innovative content to metallurgical considerations and will be extremely valuable for people working in the metallurgical industry, doctoral students and students of faculties related to materials engineering." Adam W. Bydałek
