This book focuses on modeling and control of fluid movement and heat transfer in relation to the development and implementation of new highly effective technologies. It develops a new theory of parametric control of film flows and the production of amorphous granules for the creation of new unique materials. The book also explores the new challenges introduced by the influence of vibrations and electromagnetic fields on the flow of various liquids, including metals. The book details the discovery of three new hydrodynamic phenomena, and demonstrates their importance for the creation of unique devices and technologies. It also covers thermohydraulic processes in granular layers, and anomalous heat transfer in complex environments. This book will be of interest to mechanical engineers, electromagnetic experts, metallurgists, material scientists and all science lovers.

Professor Ivan Kazachkov earned his PhD (Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, 1981) and MSc (1976) from the Kyiv National T. Shevchenko University (Ukraine), and Full Doctorship in Engineering from the Institute of Physics at the Latvian Academy of Sciences. He became Full Professor at the Institute of Electrodynamics, National Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, in 1989, and became Head of Department at the Nuclear Safety Center of Ukraine in 1995. He has worked at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology’s Energy Technology Department for over 20 years as both Guest and Affiliated Professor, teaching numerical methods and modeling of multiphase systems. He has been Head of Department at Nizhyn Mykola Gogol State University since 2009. From 2010 to 2012, he was also part-time Head of the Department of Energy Saving and Heat Power at the Academy of Civil-Communal Economy (Ukraine). His research interests include: parametric control in continua, multiphase flows, controlled film flow decay, and granulation of metals for special metallurgy.
