Professor Ali R Fatihi retired as Professor of Linguistics from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh, India, after serving in different academic positions for nearly 26 years, as professor at AMU.
His main interests include general and applied linguistics, media linguistics, translation language pedagogy, and language, mind, and brain studies. He supervised MPhil, PhD research, conducted research projects and published extensively in the area of Media Linguistics and Human Communication. He’s currently working on a monograph on the Pedagogical Grammar of Urdu, in which he combines these areas and argues for a dynamic, non-essentialist view on human language.
