Patit Paban Mishra, Professor of History (Retired) from Sambalpur University, India, and Northern University of Malaysia, specializes in South Asian and South-East Asian History. He earned his MA from Delhi University, MPhil and PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University, and DLitt from Rabindra Bharati University, all in India. With almost 38 years of teaching experience, he has supervised numerous MPhil, PhD, and DLitt scholars. He has served as President of both the Indian History Congress and the Odisha History Congress. Professor Mishra has authored over eight books, 30 research articles, and around 600 encyclopedia articles. He has participated in 22 international and three dozen national conferences. After retirement, he taught at Northern University of Malaysia for three years and was a senior academic fellow at the Indian Council of Historical Research.
