This book provides fascinating insights into the isolation and identification of actinomycetes, as well as the synthesis of bioactive molecules like extracellular tyrosinase and nanoparticles by actinomycetes. It shows that microorganisms constitute a huge and almost unexplained reservoir of resources likely to provide innovative and useful applications. The fact that bacteria have survived ever since the origin of life on the earth reveals that this group of organisms is a storehouse for changes that have occurred over millions of years of evolution in response to changing environmental conditions. They are the most abundant and highly diverse group among all organisms living today, and should thus be explored for their synthesis of bioactive molecules like antibiotics, enzymes and nanoparticles.

Dr Bi Bi Zainab Mazhari completed her PhD in Microbiology at Gulbarga University, India. She is the author of 21 research papers published in journals such as the International Journal of Experimental Biology, Biomedical International Research Journal, and the Journal of Pure and Applied Microbiology, among others. She is the recipient of the Young Scientist, Young Researcher and Young International Faculty Awards from the International Association of Research and Development, and has worked as Principal Investigator for internal collaborative research projects with Jouf University, Saudi Arabia.

Professor Dayanand Agsar is Chairman of the Department of Microbiology and Director of the Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Board of Gulbarga University, India. With 33 years of research and academic experience, his research focuses on microbial biotechnology and nanotechnology.

Professor Mohammed Saiem Aldhar is affiliated with King Abdul Aziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. With 29 years of research and academic experience, his research focuses on the application of flow cytometer.

Mohammed Asad graduated as Bachelor of Engineering in TT from Rajalakshmi Engineering College, India, and earned his MBA in Marketing and HR from Alliance Business Academy, Bangalore, India. He is currently working as a branch manager in Rawaa Al-Asaas interiors and decor company, KSA.
