The Role of Individual Differences in Content and Language Integrated Learning Success

Agnieszka Borowiak holds a PhD in linguistics and is an assistant professor at the University of Humanities and Economics in Lódź, Poland. She also has a diploma in educational management and administration and practices as a coach and mentor, which involves encouraging individuals to monitor their own learning processes and future career paths. She is a Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) examiner and an examiner of a compulsory external examination taken at the end of primary and secondary school in Poland. She has experience in teaching groups of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners of different ages and levels. She has taught Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) courses to Erasmus students and has practical experience in preparing schools to introduce CLIL classes. As a researcher and theorist, she explores the role of individual variables in the success of CLIL as an approach to EFL. She has taken part in many conferences both abroad and in Poland, and has published widely on bilingual education methodologies, particularly CLIL.
