Mohammed Bin Salem, the author, is currently Emeritus Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at Qatar University. His research interests include earthquake responses of structures, design, and analysis of buildings in earthquake zones, analytical modeling of structures, design and analysis of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
