Dr Liu Xiayang holds a PhD in healthcare, focusing on enhancing service access for underserved and hard-to-reach communities. She is currently an associate professor and researcher at the Shenzhen Health Development Research and Data Management Centre, as well as a senior engineer and member of the National Medical Device Quality Management and General Requirements Standardization Technical Committee. Dr Liu employs big data and AI to enhance service quality and accessibility, focusing on children, women, and older adults. With over a decade of experience, she has led more than 40 multidisciplinary national and provincial health management and education projects, including initiatives on community drug safety for older adults with chronic diseases and food education for children and adolescents. She has conducted over 20 surveys to assess service needs, developed more than 10 IT platforms to improve access, and authored 10 health education textbooks, benefiting over 4 million individuals.
