Orofacial Pain and Headache

Rafael Benoliel spent most of his career at the Department of Oral Medicine in Hadassah, Jerusalem, where he served as Chair of the Department, 2003-2010. In 1997-1998 he trained at the National Institute of Health, USA. In 2013 he moved to the Dental School at Rutgers University, USA, as Associate Dean for Research and Director of the Center for Orofacial Pain and Temporomandibular Disorders till 2021. Dr Benoliel is currently Emeritus Professor at Rutgers.

Yair Sharav is Professor of Oral Medicine, Department of Oral Medicine, Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical Center, Jerusalem, and co-founder and director of the Hebrew University Center for Research on Pain. He served as Dean of Hebrew University Dental Faculty for 4 years, and was Head of the Department of Oral Medicine for 23 years. Sharav was twice Visiting Scientist at the National Institute of Health (NIH), Bethesda, Maryland, USA, and Vising Professor at Toronto University, Canada.
