Corey J. Hébert, MD, is a highly regarded author, physician, educator, and medical broadcast journalist. For over 17 years, he has served as the Chief Medical Correspondent for WWL-TV, the CBS television affiliate in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. He is a frequent on-air contributor to the Discovery Channel, and has made hundreds of appearances on national television networks and outlets.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, and earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.
Dr Hébert has served as the Chairman of the Executive Advisory Council of the National Health Service Corps and is the author of peer-reviewed journal publications in the New England Journal of Medicine and the Journal of Human Vaccines and Immunotherapeutics. Dr Hebert is presently the Chief Medical Officer of Specialty Medical Products of Alabama, a medical marijuana cultivation, distribution, and retail sales operation in Foley, Alabama, USA. He is an Associate Professor at Louisiana State University, Health Sciences Center, New Orleans, and an Assistant Professor at Tulane University, School of Medicine, both USA.
