Jaime Aguirre is a chemist with over 30 years of expertise in food and feed analysis, having worked extensively in both industry and academia. His intellectual pursuits span a wide range of topics, including the Kjeldahl method, the periodic table, and the mathematics of lottery probabilities.
He holds an MSc from the University of New South Wales (Australia) and dual BSc degrees from the University of Antioquia and the Technological University of Pereira (Colombia). He is an active member of the American Chemical Society and the Royal Australian Chemical Institute.
Jaime is the author of The Kjeldahl Method: 140 Years (2023) and Periodic Table of the Universe: Symphony of Matter (2024).
Now retired, Jaime resides in Sydney, Australia, while frequently traveling to the USA, Europe, and South America.
