Victor Kennedy is Professor of English and American Studies at the University of Maribor, Slovenia, and he has taught at the University of Toronto, Trent University, and Humber College, Ontario. His articles on visual and conceptual metaphor may be found in the journal Metaphor and Symbol. His most recent book is entitled Strange Brew: Metaphors of Magic and Science in Rock Music, published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing in 2013.

Michelle Gadpaille is Associate Professor of English and American Studies at the University of Maribor, Slovenia. Her books include The Canadian Short Story (1988), published by Oxford University Press, and As She Should Be: Codes of Conduct in Early Canadian Women’s Writing (2010), published by Heidelberg Press. Several of her articles have been included in the Oxford Companion to Canadian Literature.
