The EU at a Crossroads

Dr Despina Anagnostopoulou is an Associate Professor of EU Policies and Institutions at the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, Greece. She is Jean Monnet Chair holder for EU Legal Studies, Director of the UNESCO Chair on Intercultural Policy, and Academic Coordinator of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence at the University of Macedonia. She studied Law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, EU Law at the Free University of Brussels-ULB, Belgium, and received her PhD from the University of Thrace, Greece.

Dr Ioannis Papadopoulos is an Assistant Professor of Modern and Contemporary Political Philosophy at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, Greece, and a Visiting Professor at the University Panthéon-Sorbonne Paris 1 and Sciences Po, France. He holds a PhD in Law, a Master’s in Legal Philosophy, and a Master’s in Public Law, all from the University Panthéon-Assas Paris 2, France, as well as a Law Degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. One of his books, written with Antoine Garapon, Juger en Amérique et en France. Culture juridique française et common law, has won two awards, has been translated into two international languages, and is widely considered to be a book of reference in comparative legal and political cultures.

Dr Lina Papadopoulou is an Associate Professor of Constitutional Law and a Jean Monnet Chair holder for European Constitutional Law and Culture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She studied Law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and received her LLM at Trier, her PhD at Hannover, and her MSc in Political Theory at the London School of Economics. She was also a Postdoctoral ‘Marie Curie’ Fellow at the London School of Economics and at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
