This volume, bringing together a number of experts in their respective fields, represents an important contribution to the topic of science and mathematics education. The contributions deal with various aspects of education, including epistemology, theoretical modelling, environmental sensitivity, probability distribution, technological pedagogical content knowledge, model eliciting activity and reasoning skills. As such, the book provides the reader with insights into science and mathematics education from various perspectives.

Lütfiye Özalemdar completed her undergraduate studies in the Department of Biology in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Karadeniz Technical University, Turkey, in 2001. She received a Master’s degree in Secondary School Science and Mathematics Education/Biology Education in 2003 and a PhD in Secondary School Science and Mathematics Education/Biology Education in 2014 from Karadeniz Technical University. She is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Child Development Programme of the Child Care and Youth Services Department in the Vocational School of Health Services at Giresun University, Turkey.
