Dr Adaora Osondu-Oti is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy at Afe Babalola University, Nigeria. Her primary areas of research interest are China-Africa-Nigeria relations and women’s rights in Nigeria. She has published over 20 articles in peer- reviewed journals and five book chapters, including “China and Africa: Human Rights Perspective” and “Fundamental Challenges to the Rights of Women in Niger Delta”.

Dr Jamiu Adewumi Oluwatoki teaches at the Lagos State University, Nigeria. He is the Acting Head of the Department of History and International Studies. His research interests include defence and strategic studies, Afro-Arab relations, Islam and the West, and Africa and globalisation. He has published eight book chapters, one monograph, 13 journal articles and one essay in an encyclopaedia. His publications include “Counterinsurgency as a Foreign Policy Instrument in the Cold War” and “Afro-Arab Relations: Historical Roots and Contemporary Connections”.
