This book presents a collection of research articles related to optical filters, commonly used on optical communication systems like the Bragg grating filter, the hybrid Solc filter, the stratified photonic crystal and the two dimensional photonic crystal fiber. These devices were designed and optimized to filter with a high accuracy one or more channels from multiplexed optical signals through the wavelength tenability, which was produced via the thermo-optic, electro-optic and strain effects.
This book covers the measurement of optoelectronic components, focusing on the implementation of static electrical and optical characterization. It links these measurements to solid state physics and presents different LED technologies through detailed experimental analyses.
