This book brings together an Iranian Iran-Iraq War veteran and an American Vietnam War veteran, both mental health professionals, to exchange war stories and discuss self-help strategies for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They engage in forms of self-help therapy for treating PTSD. Each chapter contains an exchange of stories, a discussion of therapy in progress, and self-help assignments for readers.

Mohammad Khodayarifard, PhD, is a Professor of Clinical Child Psychology and former Dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Education at the University of Tehran, Iran. He is a board member and Vice-President of the World Council for Psychotherapy. His research interests focus on the psychology of religion, positive psychology, and psychotherapy, and he is the main author of more than 100 published journal articles. He has also authored 21 books.

James McClenon was a Sociology Professor at Elizabeth City State University, USA, for over two decades, and worked as a licensed clinical social worker at the Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center for eight years. He has written four books and 30 journal articles pertaining to mental health, folk belief, and shamanism.
