This book offers a toolbox to ease the physiology exam-making process. It provides lists of physiological concepts for each topic, according to basic, advanced or specialized areas of knowledge. Depending on their requirements, the reader is able to use this book in two ways: either by grabbing questions “on demand”, or by making lists of concepts interspersed in the questions. In addition, the book provides a suggested bibliography depending on the level of experience of the reader. Each chapter details a number of teaching schedules, and will help the reader to enjoy the joys of physiology and, of course, teaching.

  • "The survival kit (i.e. this book) is a set of well-organised chapters that contain a staggering number of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and short essay questions, covering all the main areas of human physiology. The value of the book lies in its extensiveness; it offers 750 pages that our community of physiology lecturers should be grateful for as a resource.
    - The book is structured clearly, following the typical structures of physiology courses aimed at biomedical and life sciences undergraduate students. […] overall this book is certainly a valuable acquisition for knowledgeable lecturers. It provides plenty of ideas for exam questions, so, in summary, we have to say a big “Tanques” to the authors and encourage students not to stress, do their best and forget the rest."
  • "Survival Kit for the Physiology Lecturer is a book of questions and answers, in which the topics are ordered by general, specific, and special concepts. In turn, the concepts are classified as key, advanced, and specialized, so that this hierarchy guides the learning path and establishes a foundation that should not be ignored. It is useful not only for the student, to test their knowledge, but also for the teacher who wants to approach the concepts in a different way to the one they are used to, revitalizing and enriching these concepts. Furthermore, although this book focuses on the health sciences, its view of physiology compared to other sciences gives it a much broader perspective."
    - Dr. Francisco Germain, Associate Professor, University of Alcalá
