This book addresses social capital and poverty in Indonesia, describing perspectives and methodologies of social capital measurement, the benefits of social capital, the relation between poverty and development, and the role social capital in poverty alleviation. It also explores the various alternative efforts to improve people’s welfare.

Eko Handoyo is a Lecturer and specialises in ethics and development policy. He has published 20 books, including Ideology Battle: Pancasila in the Middle of Siege of Dominant Ideologies (2018) and Philosophy of Science (2019).

Heri Rohayuningsih graduated from IKIP Semarang and is now working as a history teacher in one of the senior high schools in Semarang. She has published one book and two journal articles.

Lailasari Ekaningsih holds a Master’s degree from Diponegoro University, Indonesia, and now works as a Lecturer focusing on Indonesian Law at Universitas Darul Ulum Islamic Centre, Indonesia. She has published two books and three journal articles.
