The book outlines numerical methods and their applications for systems of linear and nonlinear equations, interpolation, numerical integration and solving problems with differential equations, partial differential equations or fractional differential equations. It explores techniques in C++, Maple, and MATLAB, develops mathematical methods through computation and develops numerical methods in the context of case studies for data analysis, optimisation, linear algebra and differential equations.

Amelia Bucur (PhD) is an associate professor at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania, whose areas of expertise include mathematics and quality management. She has published 27 books and 115 papers in scientific journals and conference proceedings.

Dr Adrian Nicolae Branga is an associate professor at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania. His current research concerns are numerical analysis, approximation theory, spline functions, functional analysis, optimization methods, applied mathematics, and programming languages. Between 2002 and 2010, he worked in the software industry as a programmer and analyst. Dr Branga has published nine books, 28 articles and six papers in the proceedings of international conferences. He has been a member of scientific and organizing committees of 16 international conferences and a participant of 45 international conferences and research seminars.
