Marie Hendry is Associate Professor of Language and Literature at the State College of Florida, and holds a PhD in Literature from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Her recent publications include “Post-Heteronormative Saturation: What Happens After Romance” in The Routledge Companion to Gender, Sexuality, and Culture, “Motherhood as Ecological Metaphor in Nnedi Okorafor’s Lagoon” in Alluvium, and Agency, Loneliness, and the Female Protagonist in the Victorian Novel.
