Dr Frank Jacob is Assistant Professor of World History at the City University of New York (QCC). He received his MA in Modern History, Ancient History and Japanese Studies from Würzburg University, and his PhD in Japanese Studies from Erlangen University. Dr Jacob is the editor of several academic journals and series, and has published widely on German, Japanese, and global history. His main interest foci are the history of secret societies, the Russo-Japanese War, and military and cultural history.
